Fit Learning is not a one-size, fits all tutoring center in Houston. We help our learners build fluency in core academic skills by combining learning science, precision teaching, and curriculum-based assessment. An expert conducts a comprehensive skills assessment to identify your learner’s fluency in a range of core skills we’ve identified as drivers of academic success. Then, we develop a curriculum and approach, so every learner builds the true mastery of skills for life-long learning. It doesn’t matter if your learner is gifted and talented, struggling, average, or learning disabled; our approach is scientifically proven to meet your child’s needs.

This isn’t just a tutoring center for homework help. A Fit Learning session is a fast-paced, goal-oriented, high energy instructional interaction with a Fit Coach, who is extensively trained and certified in the principles of learning science. The experience fundamentally transforms a child’s academic aptitude and overall cognitive abilities. We consistently produce 1-2 grade levels of improvement in 40 hours – something standard tutoring in reading, math, writing, logic, and language simply cannot achieve.

We serve the Greater Houston, Sugarland, Richmond, Katy, Spring, Cypress, Clearlake, Galveston, areas. And are in close proximity to the Houston ISD, FBISD, Alief ISD, Katy ISD, Spring ISD, Clear Creek Independent ISD, Cypress Fairbank ISD, Lamar ISD school districts.
Most graduates of Fit Learning go on to finish high school and many have the opportunity to attend the colleges and Universities available to them. A few colleges and Universities in close proximity: Texas A&M, University of Houston Sugarland, Sam Houston State University, University of Texas, Houston Baptist University, Steven F Austin, Texas A & M, Texas State University, University of North Texas/Texas Woman’s University.
We have even had Fit Learning graduates return to be trained as Coaches to transform possibilities for today’s Fit Learners!

Fit Reading
Fit Reading trains grades K-12 to fluency in Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, Oral and Silent Reading, Comprehension, Spelling & Vocabulary.
Fit Math
Fit Math trains grades 1st -12 to fluency in Numeration, Computation, Fractions, Decimals, Ratios, Percents, Algebra, & Problem Solving.
Fit Logic
Fit Logic trains grades K-12 to fluency in Problem Solving, Advanced Comprehension, Critical Thinking, and Study Skills.
Fit Writing
Fit Writing trains grades 3 - 12 to fluency in Grammar, Sentence & Paragraph Construction, Brainstorming, Organization, & Genre Writing.
Lil Fits
Lil' Fits trains pre-K to 1st grade to fluency in Listening, Understanding, Following Instructions, Language Building, Reading Readiness, & Relational Math Concepts.
Fit Homeschool
The school environment can often be challenging for a child. Sometimes, the challenge is so great that its detrimental effects outweigh the benefits. Additionally, there are times when a school placement fails to maximize a child’s full potential. In these cases, a homeschool placement is recommended. When choosing Fit homeschool, parents elect through their school district to homeschool their child. Fit then provides homeschool support and supplementation in core skill areas. Children attend Fit sessions from two to six hours per day three to five days per week and receive intensive one-on-one academic and cognitive training.
Center Director – Samreena Rahman
Samreena focuses her practice on supporting learners and families. She places particular emphasis on determining missing component skills and smoothing out splintered skills so that students and families can experience academic success. With increased academic confidence, often comes a decrease in problem behaviors in the classroom. Her goal is to foster a love of learning through behavioral science.
Samreena attended NED UET in Pakistan for her bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering degree before graduating from Alliant International University with her Master’s in Education. She is a certified Math teacher both in California and Texas. She completed post-graduate work through the Florida Institute of Technology and is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst.
Samreena’s extensive background and expertise in evidence-based academic interventions, along with her passion to help children learn and succeed led her to co-found Fit Learning Houston.
Center director’s reason for joining the Fit Network: After having our 3rd grade child enroll with Fit Learning in the 2022-23 school year, it was clear that Fit Learning vastly improved his educational trajectory and saved our family from the stress we were all feeling as a result of his struggles with school. Our child’s relationship with learning had been broken – he was despondent, had a skillset full of holes in many of his foundational reading, mathematics and writing skills and lacked a positive view of himself and his abilities. After completing his first 40 hour enrollment with Fit many of these areas of need were completely fixed or showed major progress. Most importantly, his relationship with learning had been repaired! Finally, as a professional behavior analyst and an educator working in California the past 10 years, I always felt I wanted to do more than I could achieve in the strict roles within a school district. Using the science of learning harnessed by Fit Learning’s individualized approach, which includes making school work engaging, enriching, and fun for students was something I knew I had to do. I am excited to bring this amazing approach to learning to many more families and students in the Houston region!
