Fit Learning is not a one-size, fits all tutoring center in Pensacola. An expert conducts a comprehensive skills assessment to identify your learner’s fluency in a range of core skills we’ve identified as drivers of academic success. Then, we develop a curriculum and approach so every learner builds the true mastery of skills for life-long learning. It doesn’t matter if your learner is gifted and talented, struggling, average, or learning disabled, our approach is scientifically proven to meet their individual needs.

This isn’t just a tutoring center for homework help. Learners are challenged in a fast-paced, goal-oriented, 1-on-1 instruction setting with a Fit Learning coach using the only teaching method that combines learning science, precision teaching, curriculum-based measurement, and relational frame theory. We consistently see 1-2 grade levels of improvement in 40 hours.

Fit Reading trains grades K-12 to fluency in Phonics, Phonemic Awareness, Oral and Silent Reading, Comprehension, Spelling & Vocabulary.
Fit Math
Fit Math trains grades 1st -12 to fluency in Numeration, Computation, Fractions, Decimals, Ratios, Percents, Algebra, & Problem Solving.
Fit Logic
Fit Logic trains grades K-12 to fluency in Problem Solving, Advanced Comprehension, Critical Thinking, and Study Skills.

Dana DeCosta-Peiler is the owner and director of Fit Learning Pensacola and a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst who holds a Master of Science Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis & Autism from The Sage Colleges of New York. She also received a bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and an undergraduate degree in Deaf Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. Through the use of Applied Behavior Analysis, she’s had the privilege of teaching language, social, and daily living skills to toddlers, adolescents and teens with disabilities since 2007. Dana wants to live in a world where all children have the opportunity to pursue their dreams and creative whims without being held back by a lack of education or independent living skills. She strives to bring compassion and a sense of liberation to those who feel they cannot surpass these hurdles while helping them see that they can. When she is not teaching, brainstorming or collaborating with families, you can find her lounging with her cats or traveling with her family and friends. She enjoys relaxed nights with genuine company and has a taste for finding new and inspiring music.
Why Dana Started Fit Learning Pensacola
Dana is in constant awe of the transformation children undergo when taught through the Fit Learning MethodTM. It is daily inspiration seeing the profound progress that children can make in such a short period of time. Before joining the Fit LearningTM family, Dana sought out and followed research to replicate the success that Fit LearningTM had with their learners, but too often found methods leading to the most efficient educational gains were regularly dismissed and pushed to the side due to comfortability in the, “old way”. Knowing of this science, it is difficult to continue work and not teach learners too quickly become fluent in the skills they need to succeed through standardized measurement. Unable to find this in any other agency or tutoring center in Pensacola, Dana began to pursue the dream of opening Fit Learning Pensacola where she hopes to offer the same support and collaboration that creates worldwide change in the learning abilities of all that walk through our doors.
